We now have our third homeschooled high school graduate, as of May 16, 2015! And the ensuing graduation party was the perfect end to her high school career–a pie in the face!
Beth is headed to Liberty University in the fall, and plans to major in Cinematic Arts and maybe minor in Fashion Design. . She has quite a bit of interest in cosplay and enjoys using the creative talents God has blessed her with in creating amazing costumes for her favorite movie premieres. Below is the “fem” Captain America costume she created for the premiere of Avengers Age of Ultron 🙂 :
Bethie has now been on the SCD Diet (described in Breaking the Vicious Cycle) for almost 14 months. She has done very well, and we thank the Lord for leading us to this diet. She has been able to gain weight and reach a healthy weight for her height and her hair is much thicker and healthier. She has also faithfully taken Vita Lea, Vita Lea Gold, B Complex, and Omega 3 Fatty Acids (Omegaguard) daily. And yes, she does have pointed elvish ears on in the above picture. This is the “Arwen” dress she made for the premiere of 1st Hobbit movie. 🙂
A big thing that happened today is Bob found a stable where Bethie could take a horseback riding lesson for her birthday present! (Her birthday is February 24). She’s been waiting a long time to ride again. We just haven’t been able to afford riding lessons. A bonus was that Debbie, the owner, was kind enough to let Crystal and Danielle take a short ride on “Midnight” as well! They were thrilled! Bethie was thanking the Lord.
Bob’s Mom is not doing well. We don’t know what to think. Bob has to go to work; he’s taken off so much time already with flying back and forth to see his Dad (who passed away January 29) and visit his Mom. . .. . . . although he’d like to be up there more of course. He is a loving son. Mom is not in intensive care but the step down from that, as she had been improving slightly. She is 72 I think.
Update: On February 24 Mom went to be with the Lord. It’s a sad sad time for all of us, especially Bob and his siblings as they were all so close. I had the privilege of getting to know Mom this past year as we were Cinching together (a weight loss program). She was such an encouragement. She has such a positive outlook on life as does Bob. She is missed so very much.

Here is a pix of Bethie. She looks happy here, but it’s not been a good day today. I have been totally searching the web again for help to find out how to feed Bethie who may have IBS (or colitis, or ?). I don’t want to post alot of the details (ie. her symptoms) as too personal (and she is, after all, a pre-teen), but if anyone knows the meaning of my blog’s title, they will prob. be cool enough to pray for this for me and my precious almost 11 yr. old daughter. Here she is when she was littler. I sometimes wish they wouldn’t grow up so fast.
