It’s very time consuming, but hopefully, by the grace of God, all the healthy food will enable Bethie to gain weight so she is not underweight any more, as well as sleep better at night. August 9, 2010 Alissa Is Now 19!

Click to view slideshow.We had a birthday party for Alissa’s 19th birthday this year. Our “adopted” daughter Ashley was turning 21 around the same time, so we decided to celebrate both birthdays at one party. It was alot of fun! Crystal baked the strawberry cake for Ashley, and I think I baked the chocolate cake for Alissa. Danielle set the table and Bethie decorated!

July 23, 2010 Back from Summer Travels

Venice, Italy

Starting at the end of May until now, we traveled to Venice, Italy;
Hornbaek, Denmark-This is a castle we visited near Hornbaek;

And here we are riding in the motorhome with Grama on the way to my 90 year old Nanny’s birthday party!

Now we’re back in Tennessee for a week before we go to North Carolina for 8 days to celebrate our 20th anniversary on August 4, and then Alissa’s 19th birthday on August 9. . . . We have to go back to school sometime, but hopefully not until mid September! The blackberries are ripening in Point Roberts in September!

We got a letter today from a someone in prison who we’ve been trying to encourage by mail, and he had enclosed some really cool “Name” bookmarks. After the girls finished school, they decided to make their own for friends!
They ended up making about 12 of them for friends in their homeschool group! What a great idea!

Bethie went to Pure NRG concert as a “date night” with her Daddy for a special birthday present. God had Bethie in mind when He brought Pure NRG to Soddy Daisy just 2 days after Bethie turned 12! Thank you Lord!

New Home for the Passburgs

Wow, it took us over a year and a half to find a house, but we finally found one here! Alissa will be 10 minutes from the college instead of 5, but she doesn’t mind because she will have her own college crash pad down in the basement. Needless to say, there is a collective sigh of relief going around the family. We move over the next 2 weeks!

I found this picture that Danielle had drawn for me in January. I kept saying I didn’t get what I wanted for Christmas. . . so she drew this for me on her own. .

Bethie TURNS 12 and we get the keys to the new house on her birthday!

January 28, 2010 Cake Contest Was A Blast!

We had a blast decorating these cakes for a cake contest. One of my homeschool mom friends thought of doing this. Crystal’s cake was a kitty-cat cake, Bethie’s was the cake with green icing–those are horses on the top, and Danielle’s was a sweetheart cake.
